Large & Fast & Forefront

Inspired by Voron 2.4, the SV08 features a spacious 350×350×345mm³ build volume, printing speeds up to 700mm/s, and an unbeatable price, keeping it at the forefront of 3D printing.

Quick Assembly in 1 Hour

Unlike the Voron 2.4 kit that takes 30+ hours to build, the SV08 comes largely pre-assembled—get your printer ready in just an hour and start printing.

CoreXY Kinematics

The SV08 utilizes CoreXY kinematics to reduce moving mass and enhance motion control, resulting in higher maximum acceleration and printing speed. The smooth motion of CoreXY also helps reduce vibrations and improve printing accuracy.

Up to 700mm/s

With a maximum print speed of 700mm/s and acceleration up to 40,000mm/s², the SV08 delivers faster, high-quality results even for large-scale prints.

4× Print Volume

With a generous printing volume of 350x350x345mm³, the expansive space ensures that creation needs to be caged. This freedom allows for the full expression of creativity, unbounded by the limitationsof smaller printing volumes.

Built-in Camera

SVO8 is equipped with a camera that allows monitoring of the printing process in real time. Additionally, it enables the capturing of time-lapse footage, which is the ability to closely observe and document the printing process, offering convenience and insight into the printing experience.

All-axes Linear Rails

SVO8 utilizes linear rails for all 7 axes (4Z+2Y+1X) to improve precision and resistance to axial movement deformation. The provision of smooth and precise linear motion is crucial for producing high-quality prints. These rails guide the printer's print head and build platform, ensuring accurate positioning and consistent, smooth movement throughout the printing process.

Superior Print Quality

Faster, More Precise.

Adaptive Area Detection

Adaptive area detection compensates for leveling based on the downward projection of the print model, effectively reducing leveling preparation time. By detecting the model's geometry, the extrusion volume is optimized to improve accuracy in detail areas.

Pressure Advance

Pressure Advance optimizes extruder control by compensating for extrusion lag. It adjusts flow before movement changes (corners or acceleration/deceleration), ensuring precise extrusion and minimizing over- or under-extrusion, significantly improving print accuracy and speed.

Input Shaping

Input Shaping technology mathematically adjusts the printer’s acceleration commands to compensate for mechanical resonance caused by rapid movements, reducing ringing/ghosting artifacts during printing. This allows for higher printing speeds while maintaining superior print quality.

Open Source

With fully open-source software, firmware, and hardware, you can customize and upgrade your 3D printer, bringing endless joy from the creativity and hands-on experience, not just the prints.

Remote Control SV08 Printer.jpg__PID:68ecf595-69e9-4ef2-81da-bd1ba7aeafaf

Remote Control

Simply connect SV08 to your LAN using WiFi or an Ethernet port enables convenient interaction with your printers and grants access to a range of features.

4 Independent Z Motors

The entire gantry system can be smoothly leveled using 4 independent Z motors. This process, known as Quad-Gantry-Leveling (QGL), enhances printer accuracy, reducing the likelihood of print failures. It can also detect and compensate for wear or damage.

Efficient Heating Kit

SV08 3D printer heats up rapidly, Ceramic Plate Heating & High-Flow Nozzle reach 300°C quickly and 220°C in 40 seconds. Using ceramic heating block & AC heated bed reduce heating time by 70%, allowing near-instant printing and easy preheating for nozzle cleaning and leveling. Enjoy precise, high-quality prints with versatile material compatibility.

Great addition to my 3D printer work force

I watched a number of videos about the SVO8 when I was deciding to purchase one and the overall reviews were positive with some small issues on the earlier machines. The machine I received went together flawlessly and fast. I took my time just doing it in a laxed manner and was done within the hour they list. Ran the calibration routines in the instructions then printed the 12 min Benchy and I was very pleased! I plan to buy a second machine at some point. I will be adding tool changer capability to both so that I can install the slice engineering 500c hot end as well as print with different material for supports.

Do not buy - Faulty out of the box

Sovol is ignoring my requests to return/refund my SV08 which has been nothing but problems since day 1. The bed mesh is a taco, it never saves Z calibration settings, it randomly stops extruding, it jumps to some random point in space N% into any given print. I came to find the bolts holding the nozzle in place were extremely loose after the nozzle detached and wrapped itself up in the wires as the nozzle spun around as it dragged on the bed.

Sovol says they'll send me a new hotend but the issue is clearly with the firmware and/or motors. Even after replacing the hot end myself with one of my spares the Z calibration data won't save, and every next time I try a calibration the printer starts off by crashing into the build plate. The very last time I ran the z calibration the printer started the first straight line in a random spot and the nozzle crashed into the bed and destroyed the build plate.

Awesome First 3D Printer

I love my SV08, so far a week in and its working great - extremely well built and easy to use. One of the main concerns I had was reviews that implied it requires additional tweaking, etc... to get it printing right - however that is not true at all for the system I received at least for PLA and PLA+. PETG is a bit more finicky and can require some adjustments but still pretty good overall out of the box.

Impressive Printer, Questionable Business Practices

The SV08 has great print quality and speed, rivaling more expensive models. The CoreXY system and large build volume make it a standout in its class. I really like the maschine and it's a huge improvement over my last two printers (Sunlu S8 Pro and Anycubic i3 Mega.

However, Sovol's failure to comply with EU VAT regulations is concerning. As a business customer, I'm unable to claim VAT due to improper invoicing, with support offering only vague responses about their illegal 0% VAT policy.

While the printer itself is great, this tax issue may deter EU buyers seeking proper documentation for business expenses. I would definitly buy the printer again but not from Sovol directly, go to Amazon or 3DJake if your from Germany, as the wont scam you.

Pleasantly Surprised

This is my second 3D printer, so take my review from the perspective of someone who
isn't experienced.

I chose this printer due to being able to upgrade it in stages, the crazy multi-head upgrade videos on YouTube, and the lower entry price compared to other printers in this segment. The open source nature of the printer is also attractive.

The instructions were clear enough to build the unit and get it running in less than a couple of hours (including calibration). I found the setup process easy to follow and highly automated. I printed a few benchys for my kids and for my second print I'm making three articulated dragons. I've never been able to do these projects with my old i3 Mega, so I don't know if my standard are too low, or if this printer is just that good.

So far I'm 24 hours in, but I believe I can rate the initial experience highly. I definitely plan to purchase the enclosure, the HDMI screen, and some of the other bells and whistles down the line.
